Banff Avenue
Multi-Residential Development

The Banff Avenue Affordable Housing design-build project provides an exciting opportunity to create an innovate development that will act as a pioneer project along the most active avenue in Banff. The primary project ambition is to solve the critically low vacancy rate and cost-prohibitive housing in Banff while providing exceptional design that exemplifies environmental stewardship.

The proposed building form is designed to create a sense of community that is seamlessly interwoven with the surrounding Town. The suites have been provided with unique interior design features, such as a gear wall, to accommodate the active lifestyle and unique nature of each of its residents.

LOLA Architecture is currently working with Minto Communities to design a mixed-use multi-family community development at the Belvedere, located southeast Calgary directly south of East Hills Shopping Centre. Located on a 26.7 hectare (108,000 m2) parcel that will include four multi-family buildings with approximately 347 residential suites, the design objective is to create an innovative and unprecedented development with a holistic design approach and integrated aesthetic. The development will integrate sustainable principles and is targeting LEED Neighbourhood Development certification.
